Included here are organizations that offer information and services to those with cancer. From support groups to financial assistance and more, these entities can make the cancer journey a little more manageable.
Oregon Cancer Foundation
Oregon Cancer Foundation (OCF) empowers, strengthens and sustains those impacted by cancer in our community through education, support and financial assistance. OCF serves Lane County residents and individuals receiving cancer-related services in Lane County. Programs include monthly support group meetings.
Positive Community Kitchen
Positive Community Kitchen provides delicious and nourishing meals to people in our community who are in crisis due to life-threatening illnesses, such as cancer. They use organic and local foods to ensure freshness and nutrients while supporting local growers and producers.
Livestrong at the Eugene YMCA
LIVESTRONG at the YMCA is a 12-week exercise program, offered at no cost, to help cancer survivors improve their strength and physical fitness, diminish the severity of therapy side effects, develop supportive relationships and improve quality of life. Participants work with Y staff trained in supportive cancer care to safely achieve their goals.
Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Pacific Northwest Region offers a wide range of free educational and support programs for patients, their families, caregivers and healthcare professionals. The LLS Community is a place to talk with other people affected by blood cancers and get access to valuable information, education and resources.
American Cancer Society
Help is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to help guide you through your cancer experience. Whether you’ve recently been diagnosed, are currently going through treatment, or are caring for a loved one with cancer, the American Cancer Society can provide information, day-to-day help and emotional support every step of the way.
